Kamo’s Kids Foundation Donates Van to The Ouachita Children’s Center.
Recently Kamo’s Kids Foundation representatives, Dr. Kevin Hale, Steve Qualls, and Brian Bell, presented the Ouachita Children’s Center funding to purchase a new van. Kamo’s Kids Foundation was formed to pay tribute to the life of Hale’s son, Kameron (Kamo), who tragically passed away in 2009. The Kamo’s Kids Foundation mission is to serve underserved children in the area. The Foundation is guided by the three main principles that represented Kamo’s outlook on life: “Kourage” to do what is right; “Kommitment” to excellence; and “Kompassion” for others.
“The mission of the Ouachita Children’s Center and the support they provide to children in our area through counseling and temporary housing is directly in line with the focus of the Kamo’s Kids Foundation,” said Dr. Kevin Hale.
“We are very fortunate to have a Foundation in our community like Kamo’s Kids, and are very appreciative of the donation received today,” said Linda Ragsdale, executive director of Ouachita Children’s Center. “The addition of this van will allow us to better serve the children we care for.”
Paul Riser of Riser Ford said he sees organizations like Kamo’s Kids and OCC making a difference in children’s lives and ultimately that makes a difference in our community. “It’s fantastic watching great people do great things in Hot Springs and beyond. This new vehicle will only help further expand the reach of the OCC.
Don Gooch, Regional President of Arvest Bank and a volunteer fundraiser for the OCC said, “People like Kevin Hale, Steve Qualls, Paul Riser and Brian Bell are truly heroes! They are the ones challenging all of us to do more.
